On the next page CAR ASYST displays the available Vehicle Functions:
The menu Recorded Data allows accessing the stored data and recordings on the mobile device:
The recorded data items are sorted alphabetically in the lists. Tapping long on the entry of the stored data or recording allows sending it by encrypted email. To delete individual data or recordings wipe the entry over the left or right edge of the screen. Deleting data has to be confirmed. To delete all entries for the selected model range (Project) tap the entry Clear on the top right next to the counter of entries.
Use CAR ASYST ANALYTICS to analyze recordings offline on a Windows PC.
To load and analyze recorded measurement values, go to Recordings in the Recorded Data menu. Select the appropriate vehicle model range (vehicle project) and choose a recording from the list. The name of a Recording consists of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) followed by the date and time of the recording. The recordings are sorted alphabetically.
Use the slider on the bottom to navigate to any points in the recorded time.
Use two fingers to zoom in and out as you would do to zoom in and out on a photo. You can zoom in time and amplitude.
The time zoom level will be applied to all graphs in the view.
Tap on the graph to display cross hairs that will focus on an individual measurement value. The time and the associated value will be displayed in red colour above the grid.
Double-tap somewhere on the grid to zoom out to the minimum zoom level displaying the whole graph.
The Measured Value Configuration menu allows the configuration and execution of a measurement action.
A Measured Value Configuration describes what measurement values are retrieved from the ECUs and how the measurement is triggered. Additionally location data and a video can be recorded in parallel. Mirroring of the communication on complete vehicle buses can be configured.
Creating a measurement configuration
Please select the appropriate vehicle model range (vehicle project)on the top of the page.
A measurement configuration offers the following options:
When you start the measurement on the Run Configuration page, measurement recording is started. The caption of the button changes to Trigger.
When the recording goes beyond the time defined by Time before Trigger the exceeding measurement data is discarded.
Press the Trigger button to set the moment when the Time after Trigger starts. The button is now highlighted to indicate that the measurement is running after the trigger.
The recording stops automatically when the time defined by Time after Trigger has elapsed.
Please note, video recording is not supported in this mode.

The recorded data (including video, mirrored bus recordings and GPS location data) is automatically saved. To access The data at any time later use the menu Recorded Data.
For that you can watch the tutorial "configuring measured values".
Any recording is saved automatically. You will find your recordings in the Recorded Data menu. Tap on Recordings to display the available recordings. Select the vehicle project. All recordings for the corresponding vehicle type are listed here. Tap on a recording shortly and the recording will be displayed in the App directly. Android now offers all apps that are able to handle the recording:
You can send it using an Email program.
You can upload it to Google Drive when you have installed the Google Drive App.
Another way to transfer a recording is sending the file from the phone to your PC using a USB connection.
When connected via USB you can browse the phone directories with the Windows Explorer and copy and paste files from the phone to the PC.
The recordings can be found in the directory Internal Storage\Phone\CarAsyst\Traces\<vehicle project>\RecordedData.
The part of the path that is not printed bold may differ from phone model to phone model.
Soon there will be the CAR ASYST ANALYTICS tool available allowing to view and analyze the recordings on a Windows PC.
